OUR STORY
The story of Dymaxion began long before a single line of code was written—back in a kindergarten classroom where two boys, Jamie Farella and Brian St. Cyr, first met. Growing up side by side through school and family gatherings, they shared childhood milestones, holiday dinners, and dreams of the future. Though life eventually took them on different paths, the foundation of their friendship remained strong.
Brian pursued his passion for visual storytelling at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where he studied computer graphics. Inspired by his father Maurice, a 30-year CBS veteran, Brian developed a deep fascination with the broadcast industry. He got his start in the mailroom, worked his way up to intern, and eventually became an advertising executive—gaining firsthand experience in how people connect with media, and where the gaps still existed.
Meanwhile, Jamie explored his own calling—hospitality and entrepreneurship. After playing basketball in college, he returned to his roots, cooking alongside his family and honoring generations of Southern culinary tradition. He and his brothers turned that passion into a business, launching Brothers Barbecue and growing it into multiple successful restaurant locations across New York and New Jersey.
Though their industries were different, Brian and Jamie never lost touch—and their conversations always revolved around innovation, growth, and solving problems no one else was tackling. That’s where the idea for Dymaxion was born.
Dymaxion is proprietary software designed to bridge the gap between people and their screens, making TV an interactive experience rather than a passive one.
